Get ready for Summer Fun!

Disc Games: Introductory Level

This is not your average game of "Frisbee".  Dog/Handler teams can participate and complete using "rollers" as well as catches in the air. Go for distance, accuracy, and speed with a number of techniques and games that will prepare you for a variety of competitive disc sports. We will even explore combining agility and tricks with disc play.

  • This class is held indoors on a turf surface.
  • Discs will be available to try and purchase.
  • Dogs must have a good recall and ability to focus on chasing the disc.
  • A long-line can be used to help keep dogs focused and retuning to handler.
  • Dogs need not bring the disc back to you during this intro class.
  • Disc throwing techniques will be taught in this class.
  • Dogs will be required to remain in car or crate during portions of the class when not working.

4 Sessions

$100 / Dog-Handler team

*Class size is limited to allow individual tailoring to Dog-Handler skill development.

Thursdays at 7pm

January 8, 15, 22, 29

Bring Disc to the Next Level

Competitive Disc Sports

Bring your game to the next level. This class will help you practice and hone your skills for competitive disc games. We will cover techniques and strategies beyond the basics. Most people choose to take this class again and again to practice for competition in organizations such as UpDog, Skyhounds, and Toss-n-Fetch.

  • This class is held indoors on a turf surface.
  • Discs will be available to try and purchase.
  • Dogs must have a reliable recall and retrieve the disc (return it to you).
  • Experience in dog disc sport or introduction class is required.
  • Dogs will be required to remain in car or crate during portions of the class when not working.

4 Sessions

$80 / Dog-Handler team

Disc Play Options

Practice and Learn

Learn fun disc games in a relaxed setting with club members at all skill levels. We learn from each other how to keep our dog focused on the game, grabbing "rollers", and even catching in the air! Dogs work on a long-line until a solid focus and recall is developed. Come try it out!

The FLX Disc Dog club meets 3-4 times each month. Cost covers field paint and supplies. Monthly membership provides discounts on Toss-n-Fetch play, UpDog games during Bite Club and UpDog events hosted by FLX Dog.

For those not wanting to commit to membership, a drop-in option is available.

Toss-&-Fetch

How many throws can you complete in 60 seconds?  Earn points for each catch in a zone (10, 20, 30, 50, or 50 yards). Club members have the option to participate in 5-week sessions to compete against other clubs worldwide.

Ready. Set. Go.
